THE BAY LIST

The Bay List started as a creative collaboration between Rafael Casal and Black List founder Franklin Leonard. Casal was looking to find a way to highlight his community and uplift diverse Bay stories. Together with some incredible partners they have designed a program to showcase 10 extraordinary projects coming out of the region.

This project is helmed by hometown heroes and tastemakers looking to shine a light on writing from the next class of emerging storytellers. Kamau Bell and Melissa Hudson Bell), Daveed Diggs (Blindspotting, Hamilton), Life in Motion Productions (Misty Copeland), 826 Valencia (Dave Eggers),  Peter Nicks (Stephen Curry: Underrated, Homeroom), Joe Talbot (The Last Black Man in San Francisco), Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden (Captain Marvel, Freaky Tales), 5 Stick Films (Benjamin Bratt, Peter Bratt and Alpita Patel), BAVC Media, and Dolby Laboratories.
